one of the phrases I live by is, ‘we might be the only Jesus people will ever meet.’ so, what does that look like? what does it sound like? What does it feel like? our heart posture should align with our exterior to the fullest.
have you ever been out and had someone recognize the features of your mother or father and say, ‘you must be so-and-so’s daughter! you look just like them?’ i’ve experienced that, too - ‘you sound just like your mother,’ or ‘you look just like your dad!’
well, that’s exactly how it should be when strangers encounter us. when people meet us for the first time, the fruit of the Spirit should be so evident that people can look at us and say, ‘Jesus must be your Father,’ because we bear His image, His fruit is with us everywhere we go.
